Veterinary Permit to Import Fish, Fish Products and Ornamental Fish

  • Importers & Exporters.

  • Any organization engaged in the export and import of fish and its products must register with the competent authority and obtain a quality control certificate.
  • There should be warehouses for imported fishery products.
  • The applicant (the import office) undertakes to take full responsibility for the health and safety of the imported fishery products.
  • Import only from companies licensed to produce and export fish and that meet all requirements for the health and safety of fishery products and apply the HACCP system.
  • Submitting records of the types and quantities of imported fish, including tracking logs and expiry dates.
  • Submitting records of temperature in fish warehouses.
  • Warehouses records of stock cards.

  • Test Certificate.

Approval of the permits shall be within two hours of the application, during the official working hours and for seven days a week (All days).

Release of Shipment round the clock, non-stop 24 hours; i.e. the release of the shipment submitted shall be within two hours of submitting the goods for the inspection of the relevant authority.
