Import of used vehicles, motorcycles and classic vehicles
- Private vehicles that are less than 7 years.
- Old Trucks and buses that are less than 10.
- Equipment’s that is less than 15 years old.
- It is permitted to import tricycles or four-wheelers that are restricted to use in designated areas and that are used to transport goods only.
- Vehicles that are 50 years old are allowed to be imported.
- Vehicles that are 30 years old are allowed to be imported.
- All cases require the approval of the General Traffic Department.
- Motorcycles with an engine capacity of less than 70 (cc) except with a permit from the Ministry of Trade and Industry .
- Three-wheeled vehicles intended for passenger transport (tuk-tuks) except with a permit from the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
- The imported vehicles must comply with the standard specifications in force in the Sultanate.
- That the age of the importer is not less than 18 eighteen years for personal import.
