The Sultanate of Oman hosts the fifth meeting Board of Directors of the Gulf Customs Union Authority
On Thursday, 8/31/2023, the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Royal Oman Police, hosted the fifth meeting of the Board of Directors of the Customs Union Authority of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in the state of Salalah in the Dhofar Governorate. This meeting discussed a number of topics of common interest to strengthen cooperation in the customs field and exchange experiences to achieve integration and joint customs cooperation between the GCC countries and achieve future aspirations in the areas of trade facilitating, facilitation of customs procedures, investment, and cross-border transport. It is worth noting that the meeting was chaired by His Excellency Engineer Suhail bin Muhammad Abanmi, Governor of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gulf Customs Union Authority, while the Royal Oman Police delegation was headed by Brigadier Saeed bin Khamis Al Ghaithi, Director General of Customs
